The Saratoga Lawn Show Party A Must Make Event

Post by mr71transam on Sun Aug 29, 2010 9:31 pm

Please join me in celebrating a gathering for Firebird People at the Collectors Car Garage http://www.collectorscargarage.com/CCG/ on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 11:00AM to 5:00PM. The Garage is located at 341 Railroad Avenue, Bedford Hills, NY 10507.

The purpose of this party is not only to gather members of Charter Oaks Firebirds, Firebird Nation of North America, Pioneer Valley Firebird Assn, and talk Firebirds, but to express our appreciation to the organizers of the All Firebird Lawn Show in Saratoga Springs, NY. I figured it was about time for Tom and Sandy Smith to enjoy a party since they really work their tails off all year to put on such a great show for us.

The facility consists of approximately 200 vehicles with foreign exotics, muscle cars and rare and expensive collector cars all stored in a climate controlled and secured warehouse storage area.

Activities will include tours of the facility, a replay of either the Friday or Saturday evening broadcast of the Barrett Jackson auction from Las Vegas, a feature showing of the original “Smokey and the Bandit” and a ceremony to pay respect to the organizers of the All Firebird Lawn Show.

Due to security and the need to order food, you must pre-register. Contact Jim Napoletano at jn1771@gmail.com . Please RSVP by, September 18, 2010.

This will be a free event including food and beverage. No alcohol beverages will be served. Also, please refrain from bringing any alcohol beverages, since they will not be permitted on the premises.

Many of the cars at The Garage are very high end high dollar cars and as such, the members of the garage ask everyone to act as if you were at a car show: Please do not touch the cars, do not open doors, sit in the cars, or otherwise do anything that you would not want someone to do to your Firebird at a show in your absence.

Cameras will not be allowed. The members of the garage want the spectators to enjoy their time in the facility, but at the same time want to maintain privacy by not having pictures of their cars posted on the internet.

Get directions here: http://www.collectorscargarage.com/CCG/Locations.jsp

Hope to see you there.

Rick,

Thanks for posting the announcement.

Please, everyone don't be shy and come on down to show our appreciation to Tom and Sandy Smith and the other people who help them out for organizing the great show they put on in Saratoga Springs.

Thanks,

Jim

Rick,

Thanks for the response. Just so that everyone knows it is not a requirement to bring a Firebird. This event is not a show or cruise. Your daily driver is fine.

Thanks,

Jim

Jim,

Thanks for putting this event on...it takes a lot of work to do these things. I hope to see some of the fun car guys like Rick, Dave and Fil....hoping they can make it too.

I plan on going ...count me in.... to be honest more so to see the cars rather than the party....

It will be nice to meet and greet the message board car guys that I know only from screen names.

Since this is not a car show and just a party...I am driving my 5 speed Honda....it gets 38 mpg. If I brought my Trans Am it would cost me $200 in gas to get there....lol

Sure I will hang with you Martin. I haven't seen you much at all this year, so as the old saying goes "Out of sight. out of mind"
