Pontiac Celebration - Warwick Rhode Island September 17-19

Post by Steve on Thu Aug 19, 2010 9:04 pm

I got some details from Rick DiGiacomo on the show. The schedule has changed a bit since they could not get enough parking at the hospital for the Teddy Bear Cruise. This is waht is currentlyt planned:

Friday September 17th: Parking lot party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. From 5pm to 8pm they will have Cuisin' Bruce Palmer for a DJ. Please bring a child's gift for the Children's Hospital.
Saturday September 18th: Car show registration begins at 9am with the show running until 3pm.
They will have a Barbeque at 6:30pm where the car show awards will be given.

Rick also mentioned that there will be two cruises Friday night, one for pre-registered Pontiacs and another for all vehicles beginning at 5pm. It seems to conflict with the DJ. He did not mention the Sunday breakfast

Pontiac Celebration

Just to clear up any confusion - there is no conflict with the DJ on Friday evening. Bruce Palmer is the DJ for both events which are held in adjacent lots.Secondly, the breakfast will begin at 8:30 Sunday. Tickets for the BBQ and breakfast must bepurchased 72 in advance so we can get a count for the hotel. Thanks

To generate a little bit of interest I have placed some pictures of the 2006 Warwick show on Tran-zam.com. This was a really cool show. I hope you can all attend this year.

Steve, some great cars and some excellent photos.

I would take any of those cars and put one of those birds in my garage!

Thanks for posting this link.

Thanks Guys

Post by Steve on Sun Aug 29, 2010 8:21 pm

Thanks all. I really enjoy taking these pictures and posting them. I really think this show has the potential to be the Saratoga of Eastern New England. Those who know me know that I am all about seeing, shooting, and talking Firebirds. I really enjoy these events and hope this one will be worth everyone's while.

To listen to me you might think I have something to do with this show. I just want to see lots of birds. I'm staying overnight Saturday and I hope they will let the cars remain on the lawn for a while. The just before sundown shots come out the best.
