Story behind my bird.

Post by cardoct on Tue Jun 08, 2010 9:55 pm

Well, it all starts as a little boy. My uncle drove a 69 GTO Judge, i fell in love with it. It was my dream car until the day I went to a swap meet and saw this car. It was purring like a kitten, guy had $3000 on windshield and I said that it was only worth $2000, he must have been there all day because he took my offer. I drove it home, changed the oil and rods were knocking like two or three.

About 2 weeks prior i bought a new crate motor for my 79 Chevy pickup, i had only put it in on mounts. I then decided to put motor in my bird and rid the truck, What a great decision that was!!!!!!!!

I installed the motor with new intake, carb, water pump and headers ( header to tail had to be special ordered). She now purrs like a kitten and very fast.
spec. 290 horse with headers 310, 5spd and scratch factory 10 bolt non-posi scratch .

Well, recently i was installing a stereo system and found a hole near right quarter in spare tire well. I am in the process of patching it as we speak, will look like crap until all rust is repaired and a new paint job done. Until then i will enjoy driving it. See you all around.

THE END.
