As of now Judy and I will also be going up Saturday and returning Sunday and Staying at the Marriott. Sounds like the start of a Firebird Caravan to me.

Seeing how John (TA78) is going up Friday I will take over as Blocker for the Bird Convoy.

Rich with me staying over till Sunday if the weather turns BAD at the show saturday (Most times it does) you guys will be more than welcome to come handout at the Marriott with me and Judy till the weather clears. If you want/need to.

Thank you Martin for posting the show info here. Only 2 months until the show. WOW, it's coming up fast. Martin and Rich H, I hope to meet you this year. Rich B, Harry and John K, it will be good to see you guys again. Thanks for making the long trip to Saratoga.

Well folks we are now less than 8 weeks away from the 8th Annual All Firebird Lawn Show on Saturday July 10, 2010 with Rain Date on Sunday July 11, 2010. This will be our biggest and best show yet and I thought you might like a few updates.

July 8, 2010: Thursday 7pm Meet & Greet in the Hotel Parking Lot, Hang out & catch up with Firebird friends
July 9, 2010: Friday 5pm Cruise from Saratoga Auto Museum to Private Grove BBQ, reservations requested
July 9, 2010: Friday 8pm Show & Shine at the Fairfield Inn Parking Lot with Fairfield Inn Pick Trophy!
July 10, 2010: Saturday 9-4pm 8th Annual All Firebird Lawn Show at Saratoga Auto Museum (Rain Date 7/11/10)

I checked with the Host Hotel Fairfield Inn by Marriott and there are still 10 rooms left for Friday night and 10 rooms left for Saturday night in the room block. If you have not yet made your reservation, you must book before June 8, 2010 to get the show rate. This year you can book Thurs-Fri-Sat, Fri-Sat, just Friday or just Saturday night all at the same Firebird rate per night: there is no two night minimum. Call them toll free at 1-866-368-6900 and ask for the Firebird Show Rate. The Firebird Show rate is $119.00 + 8 percent tax for a king room or a room with two double beds. A King Studio Suite is available for $139.00 + 8 percent tax. All rates are per night and include complimentary deluxe continental breakfast and all amenities. If we book all available rooms in the room block before the cut-off date, I can get more rooms, but after the cut-off date you will not get the show rate and no guarantee of getting a room at the host hotel.

Here is the latest on the All Firebird Cruise which is a change from previously announced in the FNONA club monthly newsletter:
1. The Cruise with SSPD Escort will go to a Private Grove at the Saratoga Springs PBA in Saratoga.
2. FNONA will not charge $8 per person for the cruise as previously announced.
3. The Cruise will be free to FNONA club members and show participants.
4. I have arranged for Crazy Herb's Texas Barbecue to attend our event with his full car show menu.
5. All food and beverage items will be ala carte and payable to Herb.

7. The Crazy Herb food wagon will be available from 5:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. or until everyone is fed.
8. FNONA will offer a 50-50 raffle at the Cruise-In. Half to winner and half to FNONA to help defer expenses.
9. Following the Cruise, we will go south to the Host Hotel Fairfield Inn by Marriott for a Tailgate Meet and Greet. There will be a Fairfield Inn choice trophy awarded Friday night.
10 The Meet and Greet starts approximately 8:00 p.m. and will last until the last person standing has pooped out.

IMPORTANT:
1. Anyone who has already pre-paid $8 per person for the Cruise will receive a refund check from FNONA in full.
2. We ask EVERYONE who plans to attend the CRUISE to please send an e-mail to tsmith24@earthlink.net to confirm that you will attend the Friday July 9 CRUISE and eat with us. Herb has asked that we give him an approximate head count so that he will be prepared with food and staff.

Crazy Herb will also service the All Firebird Lawn Show. That means you no longer have to eat just hot dogs. You can now chow down on hamburgers, cheeseburges, hot dogs, SAUSAGE & PEPPERS, BBQ pork, boneless Chicken, Boneless RIBS, Italian Ice, chips, water, soda, etc. It was time to give our participants a real meal as an expression of our thanks for coming to our little show! I hope you enjoy!

I am proud to announce that FBodyWarehouse has come on board as a show sponsor and Pete is coming up from Tennessee to attend the show and be a Guest Judge.

We also have a large contingent coming from the Ohio Firebirds and Mike Tyler and some of his fellow club members will also help as guest judges.

Neil S from Charter Oaks Firebirds is also a guest judge. If any other Charter Oaks Firebird members would like to guest judge in 1st gen, 3rd gen, or 4th gen classes in stock or modified, please contact tsmith24@earthlink.net and express your interest. In our efforts to keep all judging fair, unbiased, and a-political, we invite our Firebird friends from other Firebird clubs to join us and keep all judging on the up and up.

I am working out a deal with a new Jewelry Lady to appease all the Female Firebird Enthusiasts, accompanying wives, moms, girlfriends, and guys that may have to bring home a nice gift to appease a car show widow. She has a nice selection that I have previewed.

I am also working on a deal with a NASCAR memorabilia vendor to bring his wares to the show.

Cancellation policy: No Shows: If Reservation not cancelled Guest credit card will be charged one night room and tax for reservations not previously cancelled by 4:00PM day of arrival.
