First Panera Bread Cruise of 2011

Post by 69_RAG_TOP on Sun Jun 05, 2011 9:36 pm

Spring has finally arrived,... between the infrequent rain drops, we can take out our cars from the garage. It is time to dust off the hoods, clean the windows, polish the chrome and shine the tires.

The first Panera Cruise last May was cancelled due to rain forecast. This past Saturday was sunny and mild.

There were quite a few makes and models in attendance including first, second, third and fourth generation Firebirds and Trans Ams. Well over 150 cars showed up at the cruise ... a new Charter Oak Firebird Club record.

Some of us have been at our first Cruise night of the year... Rick H. was there with his 1971 Trans Am and I showed up with my 1987 Trans Am GTA. The sandwiches, soup, salads, coffee and drinks were mighty good. The D.J. Brian was playing all the classic oldies music from 5:00 to 7:30 PM.... I was impressed that as many cars showed up this early in the year....
