Essex Cruise Night 05-10-11
I went to the Essex Fire Department Cruise Night on many recommendations I have gotten last season. It was better than I was told. Great cars, music and food on a large grassy area.
Here are the pics
This is the first time I ever saw this beautiful one owner unrestored 36k miles 76 455 4spd Trans Am. It is pretty much all original except for replacement headliner. After talking with the owner he is going to our first cruise night on the 21st.

My 79, I bet you get tired of seeing this one.....lol

The rest of the cars

Harry,
I have seen that white 1976 Trans Am before.
Nice selection of cars. The Essex Fire Department cruise location is only 40 minutes from my house.
I will definitely try to attend one of their cruises. What night of the week does the cruise start?
Thanks for posting photos of the beautiful cars and the great writre ups.
This board has been pretty quiet this Spring. We are getting hits and people read stuff, but for some reason they do not post or a reply or start any new threads.
Other than you and I, is anyone attending any cruise nights with their cars?
If so share some photos or post some comments. Thanks.

I attended that cruise a few times last year and it always had a good showing of nice cars.

I attended the Essex Fire Department Cruise today with my 1969 Pontiac Firebird convertible.
I met up with the YYCC club members at the Chesterfield Firehouse and 10 of us caravanned to the Essex Cruise.
Great time. What a tremendous display of cars! There were several hundred cars that showed up. It was more of a first class car show than a cruise night.
There were many vintage Classics on display...including a 1902 Oldsmobile, a 1926 Packard, a 1929 Packard, a 1930 Cadillac, a 1924 REO Pick Up, a 1948 Studebaker, a 1954 Chevrolet Belair, a 1937 Essex and a 1957 Lincoln Continental 2 Door.
There was a restored NINE ELEVEN 2001 FDNY Fire Supply Truck as well as a 1950 GMC Flatbed.
Representing musclecars there were classic Mustangs, vintage Mopar muscle, several Camaros and six Firebirds includingf the white 1976 Trans Am 455 seen in this thread.
There were plenty of odd cars including a 1971 Ford Pinto, several classic VW Beetles and assorted British sportscars.
I will be definitely coming back for this cruise night... the 50:50 raffle was nearly $400.
